The Center for New Ventures and Entrepreneurship is
pleased to announce that it is accepting applications from junior
faculty and doctoral students for grants under the 2009 Aggie 100
Entrepreneurial Scholars Program. This program, founded and funded by
Aggie 100 honorees,
awards any Texas
A&M University student and any junior faculty the potential to further
their studies or research as it relates to the discipline of entrepreneurship.
This
assistance will be for the 2009/2010 academic year.
The Award The
Aggie 100 Entrepreneurial Scholars Fund is meant to support junior
faculty and/or doctoral students studying topics related to
entrepreneurship. We take a broad view of entrepreneurship. This
would, of course, include the traditional business start-up, venture
capital and IPO related topics. However we are also open to research
on topics such as creativity, path-breaking innovation, technology
transfer and organizational transformation.
For the 2009/2010 academic year, the Center will award up to three grants of $5,000 each for Junior Faculty members, as well as $12,500 in undergrad scholarships to the 5 students going to South Africa
